How to FOCUS while studying?
You have the decided to study but still struggling to focus? If yes, than I bet that you are on the right place. In this blog, I am giving you 7 TOP TIPS that will surely help you increase your focus.
Create a suitable environment
A neat and tidy environment leads to more focus as compared to a messy one.It is advised to have an organized and neat study space. Also, a well-ventilated room contributes to this factor. Sunlight and fresh air from outside makes us fresh and thus resulting in improved focus. So, do make sure that your study space is ventilaed as well as tidy.
Having a study playlist
It works for most of the people. You may listen to some calming and relaxing music while studying. Listening to music calms one's mind giving and helps to focus. Especially when there is noise coming from outside, then this tip could become handy. I would prefer listening to music that doesn't has any lyrics, otherwise you may get distracted.
Find your study-buddy
It may be your friend/ classmate or you can also find study buddy online. There are various 'Study with me' videos available and many websites offer group study. Most of them are free to use.
The fact is that when you see other people in front of you study, then automatically, your focus capacity increases and there are very low chances of procrastination.
Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water during your study intervals. Less water intake is one of the major reasons why you can't focus. So, have a water bottle on your desk and #stayhydrated.
Sort out your tasks
You may be having a digital to-do list, or a paper one. But the point is that you need to breakdown each and every task into smaller steps.
For e.g.
Task- Study Physics Chapter 1
- Watch video lectures
- Make notes
- Solve practice questions
Having an organized and sorted to-do list will not mess up your brain and force yout to procrastinate.
Study in intervals
It can either using pomodoro technique or intervals as per your own requirements. Nut having break time in between is important indeed. It contributes alot to your focus capacity. I would recommend having 15 min break after every 50 min. Unlike pomodoro method, this is suitable for long-time dtudy intervals.
Have essentials on your desk
I am not advising to turn your study table into a dining table, don't do that! Have some snacks on your desk ..I'd prefer to have fruits (coz they give energy) This will prevent you from leaving your desk again and again to eat something and thus forcing you to leave your flow state.
Also, don't mess up your desk with all the stationeries. Only have those which you might use at the moment. Like I can't use all the highlighters at one. So I 'd just take one of them I need and let all others stay in the case.
I hope that these tips might be helpful to you. If yes, than don't avoid sharing it to your friends and classmates.
