Study for exam in less than 10 hours! - EXAM-TIME STUDY TIPS
Exams are on..who doesn't wish for a miracle to happen such as postponement of exams or a magical 25th hour!?
Everything can be handled easily without panicking with a productive routine.
Here are some time management tips that would surely help you revise and score well during exam season-
- Make a to-do list
Making a to-do list of all the topics that are gonna come in exam will help you organize yourself accordingly and get mentally prepared for upcoming study session the day.
You could use physical methods or online applications for making a to-do list.
I would recommend some apps if you prefer online mode- Microsoft to-do, pomofocus (it has an additional pomodora timer!)
Note that these apps are not sponsered.
- Revise notes
It could be your handmade notes and if you don't have them you could also find a them in a bulk online. Revising notes would help you get a quick overview of all important formulates, diagrams, and facts.
Highlight important terms of just jot them down on a paper. Before going to examination hall, take out the price of paper and have a quick look over through it, this would help you to be sure that you have covered all the topics.
- Solve previous year question paper
After revising all the chapters, sit down and attempt sample paper/ mock test/ last year's question paper. Set a timer according to the time limit that you are gonna have in the exam.
This would be contributing to the well prepared mindset for exam as you would have a glimpse of what it is going to be like. Also, you would have an idea of types of question that would come in exam.
- Study through pomodoro technique
According to pomodoro technique, have a study session for 25 min (called a pomodoro) and then take a break for 5 min, after three pomodoro take a 15 min break.
You could use the app pomofocus for setting pomodoro timers. This app also has restrictions that would not allow you to use your phone within those 25 min, if you try to do so, then you pomodoro would automatically be reset.
- Do written practice
If this is a subjective exam, then practice the diagrams (in science or geography), write all important dates in history, practice all the formulates or some confusing spellings in literature.
It is scientifically proven that when we write down things on our own, then this results in better memorization.
BONUS TIP- Some of you may find this funny, but pulling your ears stretch out the nerves in brain and you could memorize things slightly more easily, try this out in your history paper and tell m in comments below if this tip worked for you or not 😉
So this exam season, let us ace exams with smartwork rather than hardwork.
