How to make an EFFECTIVE TIME-TABLE

One of the biggest challanges you might face is desgining a timetable which would help you check all the tasks in your to-do list, isn't it? Then, my friend you are not alone, almost everyone is suffering through this never-ending challenge. But, today you are gonna accomplish the challange with my top tips for making an effective time-table, which will not only make you complete all your tasks, but also have some freetime left!

Step 1. Plan your tasks

Here, I don't refer to your day-wise tasks but your overall average kind of tasks. For e.g  you may have different homework daily, but you are gonna have homework for sure, right?  You are not supposed to add optional tasks, just add essentials.

As a reference, your checklist may contain following tasks-

  • Workout and yoga
  • School hours
  • Online tution classes
  • Homework
  • Blog writing
  • Study session- 1
  • Study session- 2
  • Study session- 3

Step 2. Fix time duration

Having listed your tasks, your next step would be to fix the time duration of each task i.e. how much you will take to complete each one of them.

You can take an idea of what to do from my task plan-
  • Workout and yoga- 30 mins
  • School- Weekdays; 6 hrs
  • Online tution classes- 2 hrs
  • Homework- 1.5 hr
  • Blog writing- Wednesday, Sunday; 45 min
  • Study session 1- 1 hr
  • Study session II- 1 hr
  • Study session III- 1 hr
- Total work time: Approx 13 hrs

Step 3. Design your schedule

Now, your final step is to plot all the tasks down as per your convenience-

Your time-table might look like this after completing the step-
  • 6:00 a.m. - Wake up and refresh
  • 6:30 a.m. - Workout and Yoga
  • 7:00 a.m. - Get ready
  • 7:40 a.m. - Have breakfast
  • 8:00 a.m. - Leaving for school
  • 1:45 p.m. - Coming back home; Rest
  • 2:15 p.m. - Lunch
  • 2:40 p.m. - Study session (1, 2, 3... break time included)
  • 5:15 p.m. - Free time
  • 6:30 p.m. - Homework
  • 8:00 p.m. - Online tution classes
  • 9:00 p.m. - Dinner
  • 10:00 p.m. - Planning next day and writing journal; Leisure time
  • 11:00 p.m. - Going to bed, Sweet dreams 😴

Some Useful Tips

  • Do not study more than 3 subject per day
  • Ensure to have 6-8 hrs sleep.
  • Make sure to have enough rest.
  • There is no hard and fast rule to follow the exact same timetable which I have given as a sample, you timings may vary for each task. However, you may take an idea.
  • Having seperate time-tables for weedays and weekends is much advised.
